Bacon MC for Discord

Your server, one slash command away.

Check status, start and restart, get alerts in your DMs and post activity logs to your own channels. Everyone gets exactly the access you give them on the panel.

Set up in three steps

§ 01
01

Add the bot

Invite it to your Discord server. It only asks to see channels, send messages, embed links and read message history. Nothing that lets it change your server.

02

Link your account

In the panel, open Profile → OAuth and click Discord. Linking only works from your own logged-in panel session, so nobody can link your account for you. After that you can sign in with Discord too.

Commands work in any Discord server the bot is in, and in a DM with the bot. Start with /servers to see everything you have access to.

Commands

§ 02
  1. /

    /servers

Every server you can access, with whether it's running.

  2. /

    /status

One server's state, CPU, memory, disk, players and address.

  3. /

    /power

Start, stop, restart or kill a server.

  4. /

    /notifications

Choose which DM alerts you get: crashes, restarts, backups, logins and more.

  5. /

    /logs

Post a server's activity in a channel here, stop it, or list what's posting. Choose everything, power changes only, or alerts only.

  6. /

    /link · /unlink

Check or remove the link between this Discord account and your panel account.

Who can do what

§ 03

Panel permissions are bot permissions.

The bot checks the same permissions as the panel's buttons, person by person. Give a friend restart but not stop, and that's exactly what they can do in Discord. Remove them from the server and the bot stops answering them.

/servers · /status
Owner, and sub-users who can see the console or activity log
/power start
Owner, and sub-users with Control: Start
/power restart
Owner, and sub-users with Control: Restart
/power stop · kill
Owner, and sub-users with Control: Stop
/logs bind
Server owner only, and only in a Discord where they can manage channels
/notifications
Anyone with a linked account

Give someone access

§ 04
  1. 01

    Open your server

Sign in to the panel and pick the server.

  2. 02

    Invite them

Go to Users, invite them by email, and tick only what they should be able to do, like Control: Restart.

  3. 03

    They link Discord

They sign in once and link their Discord from their own profile.

  4. 04

    Done

They can use the bot right away. Change their permissions or remove them any time, and the bot follows immediately.

Discord-side controls

§ 05

Lock commands to roles and channels.

  • In your Discord, open Server Settings → Integrations → Bacon MC.
  • Pick a command and choose which roles, members and channels can use it.
  • /logs is hidden from everyone without Manage Channels until you change it.
  • Discord's settings decide who sees a command. The panel's permissions still decide who can actually use it.

Log channels never include emails, IP addresses or account security events. Whoever can see the channel can see the posts, so pick it carefully.
